More Random Likes

Here's another set of random images we found and liked and inspired us. I especially love the duvet cover / bedspread in the bedroom picture, the third one down. Very this season. ;)









Pink

We wouldn't say that pink is especially our favourite colour but we do appreciate a bit of girly colour every now and then. The shades of pink being used recently have been much bolder but it's nice to see a braver shade of pink!









Random Likes

It's time to revel in this month's random likes again. This month we are liking a bit more colour and a bit more texture, as you can see. We are hoping that these things are here to stay. :)










Blue

A colour that surely cannot offend - it comes in so many shades and tones that there must be one for everyone. Blue is fresh and exciting, not too loud but not too quiet either. When in doubt, go for blue. Or grey.









Mood Boards

In our modern interior design lives, we spend almost all of our time on the computer.
That doesn't mean that we have forgotten the importance of the good old fashioned mood board! Before all of our meetings we lay out a good selection of samples and materials for clients to see and we tend to have little collections on our desks next to our computers for inspiration. Never underestimate the value of seeing and feeling the real thing.










Inspiration

Random images on pinterest often inspire our creativity. Sometimes the inspiration doesn't need to be in the form of another interior or a product - we often find inspiration in photographs, artwork and architecture. Just like these images below!








To enjoy a cup of coffee...

We're big drinkers of coffee and we love the whole culture that goes with enjoying a good cup of coffee -t he Italians especially know how to make it into an artform! These coffee related images below definitely inspire our love for a good espresso.








Stark Colour Scheme

There's been a recent trend towards what I like to call 'stark interiors'- especially in Scandinavia and Europe. Stark interiors are a blend between Scandinavian minimalist interiors and a bold use of black and white colours schemes and industrial details. Pretty self explanatory I'd say. :)
