Blackboard

Blackboard walls are a great addition of a feature wall to an interior as well as being practical. For Children's rooms, they act as a giant canvas or easel to create on. In kitchens, you can write your shopping list directly on the wall, or use this space just to be creative.









Kitchens

The modern kitchen is changing. Full-on, gloss white kitchens are slowly being phased out for a return back to something more casual and comfortable. Rustic is coming back but only as an accent - in essence, the new modern kitchen should feel warm and friendly with simple cabinets (matt colours are back) and a touch of nature, such as a wooden or stone countertop.









Subway Tiles

Subway tiles (or metro tiles) are a great versatile finish to use in kitchens and bathrooms. They come in lots of different colours and finishes but the classic example is the gloss white. Personally, I love them and have seen some fantastic modern variations with glazed fronts (so the colour is uneven), narrow and long, matt black etc. They're really simple, easy tiles to specify for any project because they always seem to work!








The Shaker Style Kitchen

The Shaker kitchen is known for being a traditional style and is often associated with farm houses and 'country kitchens'. Nowadays, it's rising again in popularity because of new ways of executing the shaker cabinet fronts. Modern shaker kitchens are simpler and finished in matt, earthenware colours. We think they're great.

White Kitchens

We're big fans of white kitchens, as you probably know. For a room where so much is constantly going on, we feel it's important to keep it as simple as possible to keep clutter to a minimum. White kitchens are a great, neutral backdrop for your busy and exciting kitchen life.  After all, the kitchen is the heart of the home.
