Kitchens

The modern kitchen is changing. Full-on, gloss white kitchens are slowly being phased out for a return back to something more casual and comfortable. Rustic is coming back but only as an accent - in essence, the new modern kitchen should feel warm and friendly with simple cabinets (matt colours are back) and a touch of nature, such as a wooden or stone countertop.









The Shaker Style Kitchen

The Shaker kitchen is known for being a traditional style and is often associated with farm houses and 'country kitchens'. Nowadays, it's rising again in popularity because of new ways of executing the shaker cabinet fronts. Modern shaker kitchens are simpler and finished in matt, earthenware colours. We think they're great.

Open Kitchen Shelving

Kitchen trends change once every few years - the recent trend has been singularly white gloss kitchens but this seems to be fading out in favour of 'modern rustic' kitchens, which is bringing the return of open kitchen shelving. It makes a great change from the minimal kitchens that have been so popular for a few years now and it's a great way to showcase your lovely plates!
