Nude

Nude as a colour is a really difficult one to work with - it needs to be warm and natural without encroaching on beige or (especially not) magnolia. Nude is more, in fact, about an atmosphere than about an actual colour. I think these images show that off quite well.







Textile

When it comes to textiles, the designers at Ardesia know what we like and stick to it. The world of textiles is just incredibly saturated with fantastic fabrics and when you get up close and into the fine detail, even just a 100% stonewashed linen can come in hundreds of different finishes. We know what works and what doesn't, what textures to put together and for what use.

Mint

Some people might say that mint is last year's colour but I still think it's great - especially a muted, greyish mint colour is very much on trend this year. Mint is a great way of introducing some colour into a scheme without overpowering the design with too much of a bold colour palette. Moreover, the white gloss kitchen is going out and matt colour kitchens are in, the simpler the better! I especially love the top image - mint green, matt and marble. Perfection.








Linen

Our favourite fabric by far is linen. We love that it's natural, deeply textured, sometimes uneven and just so lively and hard wearing. It's the perfect way to add the finishing touch to a design. We especially love linen when it's used to create contrast with a very minimal interior.








Soft, Floaty Curtains

We're choosing some curtain fabrics (custom made) for a client and we've found some amazing fabrics that are almost so ethereal it's like they don't even touch the air. If you're not adverse to constant light, these types of curtains can add a lot of atmosphere to a room - although in winter they aren't very warm!
